One year ago on this day a wonderful musician and person tragically died. I’m still sad.
I’m moving to Berlin. And during this “movement” I’m finding many things making me sad.
Today I found a single which David Gold sent me short before he died.

I still can cry, David.
There are bands and albums which don’t get out of my mind.
One album is Paramaeciums Exhumed Of The Earth. When I did a post aboutThe Levitation Hex they came back to my mind.
Not because of the music. Because of being from Australia.
If you’ve got the time to listen to some great doomy music with some classical (classical in the meaning of cellos and some female opera-style-stuff – but don’t worry: it’s just some, but great – and some cello)
Ok, I stop talking. Listen to it now.
Here’s some
OPERA DIABOLICUS
Epic Heavy/Gothic/Doom/Progressive Metal
…don’t really know…
I like them. ![]()

Woods Of Ypres was and still is my favourite band.
These are the words on to this awesome Woods Of Ypres live clip:
“We’re not sure, but this may be the last recorded concert of Woods of Ypres. Even if it isn’t the last, we’re happy to offer this memento to the dedicated fans of a timeless band. “

They play a mixture of Doom, Death and Thrash Metal – sounds that way in my ears.
You can listen to and download their music on following locations:

Well, Metal Archives says A VERY OLD GHOST BEHIND THE FARM are playing Sludge/Doom Metal.
For me there is a punk attitude within their sound. I like the band. I do not really like doom so I can’t really find much doom in it. Okay, some parts are a bit slower but not that slow as many “real doom” bands are.
Well, check it out by yourself. You can find the band at bandcamp.
Find their album Primary Septagon here:
The band asks for a donation. You can give some euros or let it be. I gave 4 Euros and I’m satisfied with that. ![]()

The link to that band was brought by Seb. W. in the group d.am.m. on Facebook.
Woods of Ypres another one of my favourites bands. They play something like Atmospheric Doom Black Avant-garde Metal or so… They are from Canada. Singer, guitarist and main songwriter David Gold plays also in Thrawsunblat and a black metal project… I’m missing the name at the moment…
I will look it up.
I do not really know. This song is an older one played recently live in Saint Paul.
